You dont know me. and thats ok. I dont really know much about your writing. and thats ok. I am 40. and ive been reading sci fi for 32 years of that time, several 10s of thousands of books. no joke lol. my mother got me started bless her departed soul.
I like what you have done. I like the feel of many of the older sci fi. back when anything and everything was possible. I think we as a culture have fallen away from and forgot that magic.
zenna hendersons the people. is a good example. Im sure you can think of many others.
and of course the reason im writing you is to thank you for james H swchmitz.
its always soothing energizing magical and rewarding to read books of this type. Books i wouldn't have ever known of if you hadn't reprinted them.
so thank you.
anytime you want to dig up someone from the the past and reprint stories. don't feel they wont be accepted.
because someone, out there or out there, is waiting to rediscover that anything and everything is possible somewhere.
thank you

Hi, I sent you a letter via "Librarian". If it didn't get to you. Let me know how. If you're swamped with fan mail or work, that's ok. I can take pleasure in your work without being in touch. I'd love to see you. Steve Kindred

I like the snake best(@ least I think it's a snake), also the masks and the designs. They all have nice hair as well. My hair looked like
that when I was born. I know because of a photo taken that makes me look like a hairy beast, a kangaroo (b/c of the hair & the territorial
boxing), a monster, or a sumo wrestler. As I was talking about monsters, I thought of the wonderful illustrations of children's books
illustrators Katherine Coville and John Peirard who principally do fantasy and sf dtuff. They are a totally different style than this, but
it's all good and there was a hairy type of troll by Peirard I looked like, only a baby of course, except that trolls were alternate forms
of elves that got fed up with sunlight and roses, ate their fellow elves and b/c brass instrument-playing trolls. So they didn't mention
babies. Would they be born as elves, like resetting? Would they be sterile? That story might've been by Terry Boot, unless he wrote "The
Beast With A Thousand Teeth", b/c I know he didn't write both.

Your collection is lovely, especially the Eagle!
You may want to check out the water tight baskets of the South Oregon/North California Indians. Some truly delightful designs and shapes.

Ok. I'll comment since no one has yet. I find that native American art is very creative, but stylized at the same time. A lot of symbolism. Looks like you all have a very nice collection!!
