Wonder what happened to Manfred’s idea that he would give Francesca her own duchy, or whatever it was. She is really too interesting a character to leave sidelined in Alexandria.

I suspect Manfred will come into his own — and I am sure it will be intricate, too.

Damn. I was hoping they’d be shelved. I was rather hoping for a novel showing Manfred truly come into his own. This will be a very intricate book. I am curious to see how all the plot threads will be woven together. That prologue was pretty far flung as far as characters and places.
