Bringing in OFS will destroy their way of life just as quick, if not quicker than the Manties. Here's to some dead New Tuscans, killed by Mesans, and ex-Peeps. Anisimovna is quoting Louis XV and his saying "so long as the revolution comes after I am dead, what of it?" The thing is I think that the New Tuscans can cut a deal, or maybe just get out with their families and a few shiploads of loot. They sound like a third-world country's dictatorial oligarchs to me. Off course, they'll have to deal first with Manticore, then with O. F. S., THEN with Mesa. By this point they know too much to keep them safe, and not enough to cut a deal with Manticore. These people are dead, dead, dead. And Mesa knows it. They are being set up, but they don't care, because they see the danger of revolt as greater than that of conquest.
