Did you know that the French had a base in Florida, but had to leave. The only thing that gives me hope that they won't be able to stay is that the French population in 1763 was only 70,000, where at the same time the English colonies had a population of three million. And try as you will I don't see how you can have any decent (meaning a limited monarch with a parliament) The only good Frenchman I know of back then is Gilbert, Marquis de Lafayette, whom you put in 1824 as a small part. Speaking of which, have you ever though of doing a alternative history in which Davon and Murat are killed early on and Lafayette is not captured by the stupid, bloody, keeping Italy split apart, Austrians. In this world he would help found a constatutional monarchy.
