i doubt if she has enemies or will be made an agent or whatever… its too far fetched… at least she's smarter than the lady/wife of the captain from the Master and Commander book series… other than that, i think Adele just found a second good friend… when u think about it so far almost everyone has taken from her except for Daniel and maybe the RCN as a whole. This the first time someone outside the professional fields has given something to her without a real price other than letting her be what she is. More than that, i wondered if she would have a mental breakdown soon or not.. with all the stuff that went on in the last 3 books… but the book and the "good" memories may help her some. This passage adds some more depth to her character.. she isn't just a spy or killer.. she was a child too.

I agree. She's nothing like his other paramours. A man usually marries someone totally different from a girlfriend. All my girlfriends had very little upstairs or, if they did, they didn't like using it. My wife is an extraordinary woman, intelligent, opinionated ,absolutely infuriating at times but, never boring or dull-witted.
